Sandell’s Metal End Dams are used in conjunction with flashing and other waterproofing accessories. They are used to insure moisture protection, by prohibiting the movement of water. As with flashing, they direct moisture to the exterior
of the structure.
Use:
Sandell’s Metal End Dams are used to prevent horizontal water movement within a structure, above and beneath wall openings (corners and nearby jamb lines). They are specifically designed to deter moisture by diverting it to the exterior of the building. Sandell’s End Dams
should be installed, at longitudinal ends of flashing, over lintels, at column abutments, near
building expansion joints, or when flashing interruptions occur.
Sandell’s Metal End Dams can be composed from Copper, 10oz, 12oz, 16oz,
and 20oz, or Stainless Steel 26g, or 28g.
