Blok Flash
This embedded flashing device for exterior single wythe CMU wall systems can cut job-costs dramatically while delivering unmatched moisture-protection and maximizing the wall’s insulation R-value. Sandelll's Blok-Flash intercepts moisture that infiltrates the wall, diverting it safely to the exterior. Excellent at all flashing/ weep-hole locations including base of wall, above door and window openings, above bond beams, in parapet walls, basements, and wherever flashing is necessary.
Sandell's Blok-flash is an embeddable flashing unit used in exterior single wythe CMU construction. Created from a high density polyethylene material, this product consists of a .0625" thick flashing pan, attached to a concave rectangular weep spout with a 45º drip edge. It collects moisture that infiltrates block walls through vertical cores, and dynamically redirects it to the exterior of the structure effortlessly. The unique design of the flashing pan, bridge unit and concave weep spout, allows condensation to dissipate properly, as it secures the structures integrity and existence. Sandell's Blok-Flash assist proper drainage and should be used at all flashing and weep hole locations, at the base of walls, above door and window openings above bond beams, in parapet walls, and in basements.
