Sandell's Granular Ice Guard

Description

Sandell's Granular Ice Guard is a self adhesive composite underlayment.  The adhesive layer is composed of a proprietary modified asphalt,  reinforced with an extra heavy fiberglass mat.  The  surface of opaque granules provides excellent traction and protection from UV radiation and weathering.  The Self adhesive layer is covered with a release sheet which is removed during installation.

Uses:

Sandell's Granular Ice Gurad is an excellent underlayment for shingle, slate, concrete or tile roofs.  Sandell's Granular Ice Guard prevents moisture entry into structures by sealing uniformly to the deck and around nail penetrations.  Sandell's Granular Ice Guard protects residential and commercial buildings from damage due to ice dams or wind driven rain.

Size

Sandell's Granular Ice Guard composite is 55 mils (1.4mm) thick and is supplied in rolls of two square (3' x 66.7') (.9m x 20m).  Sandell's Granular Ice Guard is self adhesive and cold-applied.  No special adhesives, heat or equipment are necessary to install.
